Subscription Fulfillment has been a family tradition since 1956. Michael J.
Ciuffreda Sr. created a plan that resulted in the formation of Publisher's
Creative Systems (PCS) in 1986. He had previously worked for 16 years in the
business as Subscription Manager for American Journal of Nursing (1956-68),
Circulation Manager at Scientific American (1968-70), and Psychology Today
(1970-72). In 1972, he began a Subscription Fulfillment company aptly named
Publisher's Aide. Both of his sons, Michael and Kelly, joined their father in
the following years, leaving other careers to work with him. Prior to the sale
of Publisher's Aide to Kable News Co., Publisher's Creative Systems was
established and they developed a subscription fulfillment system on personal
computers that was on the forefront of technology. After the death of their
father the business was put on the shelf for a few years due to potential
conflict of interest issues. PCS was reborn in 1992 and today manages the files
for more than 65 magazines. PCS still receives referrals from people who knew
and respected Michael J. Ciuffreda Sr. His sons take pride in this honor. PCS
is more than a business to them. It is a family tradition.
